  • – Snow Sports market sales totaled $4.5B for the 2014/15 up 2% compared to the 2013/14 season.
  • – Digital cameras continued a sharp upward trend with $55M in sales, up 10% compared to 2013/14 – doubling in sales over the past four seasons.
  • – Outwear sales were up 11% online to $487M—representing nearly half of all snow sports internet sales.
  • – Sales of women’s specific products were up 5% in dollars sold to $1.4B (31% of total sales) this season. In addition, women make 80% and influence 95% of all household spending decisions.

  • – Overall, the participant base in Snowboard grew from 7.3M to 7.6M with pronounced growth (16%) in the 17 & under age group.
  • – About 5% of the U.S. Population Participates in snow sports. Participants are young, and most of them are not core.
