The Ski & Snowboard Mechanics Workshops will complete their training programs at Copper Mountain by the end of the week, and will head off to Discovery Ski Area in Montana for two days of hands-on training for binding mechanics (Oct 12) and ski and snowboard tuners (Oct 13). The staff reports that there is still space-available at that location. Discovery is the 5th of 15 locations the Workshops will visit this fall. So far this year, ski and snowboard mechanics have been learning new skills and honing up for the season ahead at workshops in McIntyre Ski Area, NH, Shawnee Mountain, PA, and Grand Geneva, WI, in September, and this week at Copper Mountain, CO.

For the remainder of the season, the workshops include one, two or three day sessions. On Day 1 the full-day course options are: Binding Mechanics Basic, Binding Mechanics Advanced, and Rental Mechanics Update. The binding and rental courses are accredited by the major alpine binding suppliers. On Day 2, the Workshops provide full-day training in ski and snowboard tuning and repair, and on Day 3, at six locations, a training seminar is offered for retail and rental managers.
