What is EPR? Why is it critical for suppliers and retailers?

Circular Action Alliance (CAA) is a U.S. Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) dedicated to implementing effective Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws for paper and packaging. CAA is the only organization approved to implement U.S. EPR laws for paper and packaging and is currently operating in California, Colorado, and Oregon. The session will provide an update on the status of EPR in the US and what it means for SIA members. The presenter will discuss the aims of EPR, compliance for obligated producers, and covered materials. The session will use Colorado as an example of what EPR implementation will look like in the US and will allow ample time for questions and discussion.
