Catching Up to Customers in 2024

The outdoors and snowsports are more popular than ever, but this attention is coming in a period of huge change in the eCommerce landscape. Legacy media titles are closing or consolidating, Google continues to unveil new changes and technologies, and new platforms are emerging. The result is a pretty fragmented landscape. We’ll discuss some of these changes and how to get your brand in front of the right eyeballs in 2024.

The Top Global Sustainability Regulations You Should Be Working On Now

Feeling overwhelmed by the broad range of sustainability regulations? Not sure where to start? Ammi Borenstein of Snaplinc Consulting will identify some of the most pressing sustainability requirements and how to approach them. Ammi will cover the following regulations:

  • EPA PFAS Reporting Rules
  • Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) across EU and US
  • EU Anti-Greenwashing Legislation
  • EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR)

Ammi will use his extensive experience in outdoor and snowsports sustainability to provide practical, actionable insights on all of these.

Circularity as a Team Sport: How leading brands and innovative partners are advancing circularity goals through group efforts and teamwork.

This candid conversation with manufacturers and circularity service providers will discuss the internal conditions that shape circularity goals, the driving forces that make progress toward those goals, and the external relationships that help achieve them.

Panelists include Kristen Graf, Cabot Hosiery Mills Global Director of Environmental and Social Responsibility; Emily Foster, Burton Director of Environmental & Social Impact; Kate Harvey, founder of BirdieBlue; and Aaron Provine, president of Geartrade.

Bridging the Gender Gap Between Marketing Gear and Growing Participation

The snowsport industry has yet to fully tap the promising results of engaging and retaining female participants. Over the past 23 years, the percentage of growth in women’s participation has been an abysmal 3%. The recent gains in product and service delivery innovation must be tailored to reach a market that continues to be marginalized by missing the linkages in how women perceive and engage in snowsports. If “she” can’t comfortably play outside, she won’t make snowsports a priority. This session unpacks purchasing decisions, user experiences, and the critical interface between retailers, rental operations, and the resort. Combining decades of expertise in studying and working with women in snowsports, NicoleFeliciano and Heidi Ettlinger, will share the framework for ‘Looking As’ today’s female participants. Attendees will leave this session with a Q4 strategy to increase sales of soft goods and gear to female skiers and gain a strong understanding of the barriers and challenges, as well as unique insights to grow beyond the marketing campaign with a strategic plan to convert women into lifelong snowsport enthusiasts.

Speakers: Nicole Feliciano and Heidi Ettlinger
